Pickups are no longer the “bad guys”<br />
that the media tried to tag them as<br />
over the past few years. The Big Three<br />
have done a fantastic job of designing,<br />
building and marketing the current<br />
generation of pickups. That said, the<br />
compact and even midsize pickup market<br />
and offerings have been reduced dramatically,<br />
and the elimination of the Ford<br />
Ranger from the marketplace is still hard<br />
to believe. But, perhaps the biggest trend<br />
in both the street market and in off-roading<br />
is that pickup electronics are being<br />
tied into and monitoring every aspect of<br />
the vehicle, so retailers should embrace<br />
education more than ever before.<br />
