Robert “Brian” Mullins (Peninsula
H&BA) has been elected to serve
as HBAV president. A licensed
contractor since 1986, Mullins is a
commercial and residential developer
from Suffolk, and is founder and
owner of Quality Homes Inc. He is
a past president of PH&BA.
He has served on the HBAV
Executive Board, board of directors,
Legislative Committee and as
regional vice president. Mullins is a
member of the Fire Services Board
and the Board for Housing and
Community Development, which
prescribes the Uniform Statewide
Building Code. He is an active
supporter of NAHB and HBAV
Build-PAC.
Mullins and his wife, Teresa, live
in Suffolk.

HBaV 2013 leadership takes the helm
The Home Builders Association of Virginia installed its 2013 officers in a ceremony June 26 at the Hilton
Virginia Beach Oceanfront hotel. Robert B. Mullins, of the Peninsula Housing & Builders Association, succeeds
C. Richard Bogese Jr., of the Home Builders Association of Southside Virginia, as president. Headquartered in
Richmond, HBAV is a statewide trade association that represents the interests of the home building industry before
state and federal lawmakers and regulators. Brief bios of the senior officers follow:

VA BIA) has been elected to serve
as HBAV first vice president/
treasurer. President and co-owner of
Genuario Cos./Wakefield Homes,
Genuario is a second-generation
developer and home builder
concentrating in custom and semiproduction
homes in the Northern
Virginia area.
A member of Northern Virginia
Building Industry Association
since 1990, he was president of the
local association in 2003. Over the
years he has volunteered and held
numerous positions within NVBIA
and HBAV. He has served on
HBAV’s Legislative Committee, was
Area V vice president in 2007, 2008,
2010 and 2011, and is an ardent
supporter of HBAV Build-PAC.
Genuario and his wife, Laura,
live in Alexandria.

BA) has been elected to serve as
HBAV second vice president. Senior

a past president of the Tidewater
Builders Association and also served
the local association in many other
leadership positions since he first
joined TBA in 1996.
In 2011 and 2012, he served
HBAV as chairman of the
Legislative Committee, as a member
of the Executive Board and as an
HBAV Build-PAC trustee.
Napolitano and his wife, Wendy,
live in Virginia Beach.

as HBAV associate vice president.
Scott is a sales associate for Builders
FirstSource and has been selling
building materials in Charlottesville
for more than 30 years. A longtime
member of Blue Ridge
Home Builders Association, he
currently serves as its Membership
Committee chair and is a member
of the Executive Committee. He
was honored as BRHBA 2007
C. Richard Bogese Jr.
Associate of the Year, and received
the President’s Award for excellence
in service in 2011.
Scott and his wife, Anne, reside
in Charlottesville.

Roger W. Langford (HBA of
Richmond) has been elected to
serve as HBAV vice president/
secretary. Langford is a regional
sales director with Professional
Warranty Corp. and has been an
active associate member of the
Home Building Association of
Richmond since 2002.
He was named HBAR’s
Member of the Year in 2009 and
inducted into the NAHB Society
of Honored Associates in 2010. He
was nominated by HBAV to be
the NAHB Associate of the Year
in 2011.
Langford and his wife, Michelle,
reside in Richmond.
