Chair of the
Lunch Committee
Welcome and thank you for joining us for the
eleventh annual Holocaust Memorial Day Lunch
in support of the Anne Frank Trust.
This is my first year as Chair of the Lunch Committee and I am
honoured to take on this special role. Today is a chance for us
to take time to remember the victims of historic and current
persecutions, whilst supporting the Trust who work tirelessly to
eliminate prejudice and hatred across Britain.
I am delighted to welcome our guest speaker, The Right
Honourable Michael Gove MP, and thank him for his involvement
and support. I would also like to thank everyone who has
contributed to make the Lunch the amazing event that it has
become. In particular, thank you to our generous host Daphne
Schild, brochure advertisers, table hosts and this year’s fantastic
Lunch Committee.
It’s wonderful to welcome back so many
friends of the Trust, but I also want to
acknowledge our generous supporters
who could not be here today. I would
like to make specific mention of
Tamsin Greig (pictured left), the voice of
our film, who generously gave her time
and professionalism.
