and mast. Last sum mer M ac plso<br />
refinished his venerable Tane<br />
'Chiquita'.<br />
S<strong>te</strong>ve V<strong>ea</strong>le has built a new m ast<br />
b<strong>ea</strong>m for his Tangaroa 'Rhiannon',<br />
bigger and stronger than the last, and<br />
is g<strong>ea</strong>ring up for another trip to<br />
Berm uda this sum m er from his New<br />
Jersey base.<br />

Kincardine O ntario has qui<strong>te</strong> a stable<br />
and is adding to it stil. Barry is sailing<br />
a 14' Hitia and a G<strong>eo</strong>rgian 23 and is<br />
building a Tiki 26.<br />

Roly Huebsch is working his w ay<br />
north from Barbados in his Narai M K.I<br />
'O bor<strong>ea</strong>'. Roly plans to be back on the<br />
Gr<strong>ea</strong>t Lakes in M ay and I'm looking<br />
forward to h<strong>ea</strong>rinj more about his<br />
voyaging at the Sal In.<br />
The Sail In is stil going to happen on<br />
the w eekend of 12th/13th August. The<br />
venue is the Iovely How e Island hom e<br />
of David and Rozanne M oizer on Lake<br />
Ontario n<strong>ea</strong>r Kingston. Plin now to be<br />
there, it prom ises to be the best Sail In<br />
yet.<br />

deck-<strong>te</strong>nts etc. for his Tiki 21. These<br />
include 1O0 yards of 38 ' graphi<strong>te</strong><br />
c10th pre-im pregna<strong>te</strong>d w ith epoxy<br />
resin. 1 has bxcelent stiffness and<br />
abrasion resistance but unfortuna<strong>te</strong>ly<br />
m ust be kept frozen and shipped in dry<br />
ice! He ako has Kevla'r filam ent and a<br />
selection of E glass. He purchased his<br />
Tiki 21 plans last fall and pre-coa<strong>te</strong>d aII<br />
his hull com ponents before w in<strong>te</strong>r hit.<br />

Dusseldorf. Last sum m er Tine Bosch<br />
and Thom as Gehm brought their Tiki<br />
21 to Denm ark for a cruise in com pany<br />
w ith Roger's Tiki 21 and his tw o young<br />
children:-<br />
''It was a gr<strong>ea</strong>t exqerience for five<br />
p<strong>eo</strong>ple to Iive on tw o Tlki 21's. At tim es<br />
we would Iive as a 'double cat' island,<br />
inviting <strong>ea</strong>ch other for br<strong>ea</strong>kfast or<br />
dinner and at other tim es we could<br />
have our ow n individualistic freedom .<br />
W e spent som e b<strong>ea</strong>utiful days on our<br />
catam arans and found it m ore fun to<br />
sail as a group. W e are Iooking forw ard<br />
to 1989 and hope that m ore boats w il<br />
