If your Department is giving training on computer or helps and encourages other
institutions/departments for training on computer, then it is necessary that such
training should be given in Hindi also.

of computerisation, the required software must be developed in bilingual form
(English-Hindi).

BILINGUAL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
The orders regarding purchase of electronic equipment only in bilingual form are
applicable to all Central Government offices, where the Official Language Rules and
the Official Language Policy are in force.
Under the provisions of the Official Language Rules, they may be used for doing
work in Hindi or bilingually.

No electronic equipment which works in Roman only should be purchased
without the prior concurrence of the Department of Official Language. .
Only such equipment should be purchased which have all the characters/
commands on their keyboards in bilingual form.
In regions 'A’. and 'B' where bilingual equipment are installed, these should be
used mainly for doing work in Hindi in accordance with the Official Language Rules.
Under Rules 12 of the Official Language Rules, strict compliance of these orders will
be the responsibility of the Heads of Departments.
