Strength 4 to 250 Lbs. (Strength is determined by the size of the<br />

yarn used <strong>and</strong> the number of yarns in the braid.)<br />

Maximum Temperature: 325F (163C)<br />

Diameter: 0.006" to 0.125" (Diameter is determined by the size<br />

of the yarn used <strong>and</strong> the number of yarns in the braid.)<br />

Fiberglass Lacing <strong>and</strong> Tying Cord<br />

(MIL Y 1140)<br />

Description: Twisted <strong>and</strong> cabled 100% fiberglass cord<br />

manufactured in accordance with MIL Y 1140. Both Neoprene<br />

(N) coated <strong>and</strong> Uncoated (U) products are available.<br />

Application: Lacing, tying, b<strong>and</strong>ing, <strong>and</strong> wrapping used in the<br />

manufacture of electrical <strong>and</strong> electronic apparatus. Excellent<br />

Flame resistance. The neoprene coating serves to protect the<br />

fibers, bond the cord into a unified member, <strong>and</strong> improve<br />

h<strong>and</strong>ling <strong>and</strong> knot retention properties.<br />

(Meets AT&T Specification 59122)<br />

Description: Twisted Polyester yarns saturated with a flame<br />

retardant finish to provide self-extinguishing characteristics when<br />

subjected to open flame or elevated temperatures.<br />
