(NOTE. Increasing the thickness <strong>of</strong> a mat can<br />
considerably increase the time that it will take to cool to a<br />
temperature below which it cannot be effectively<br />
compacted. There<strong>for</strong>e, in adverse weather (high winds<br />
and/or cold temperatures), the use <strong>of</strong> a greater course<br />
thickness will increase the possibility <strong>of</strong> having sufficient<br />
time to complete compaction.)<br />
3.9 AGGREGATE SIZE<br />
The aggregate size shall be in accordance with<br />
Table 3.5 <strong>for</strong> the relevant combination <strong>of</strong> course<br />
type and nominal layer thickness.<br />
