Boys and Young men • Black Conservatory t-shirt and black sweat pants available at the Conservatory “Little Store.” Hip Hop Shoes Black dance sneakers available at Dancing Supplies Depot. Strength and Stretch for Dancers Class is once a week, for anyone (Forest and up) who wants to exercise and gain muscle strength. It is open to different levels because this is not a technical class, but one to improve physical strength. Special balls and Thera-Bands are required. These will be available for purchase at the school. You must also bring your own yoga mat. Dance/Movement for Actors Class is designed to give actors a basic knowledge of dance steps and to develop confidence and body awareness to enhance their performance and broaden opportunities. Afro-Fusion Dance Girls and Young Ladies • Hair in a bun or ponytail away from the face. • No jewelry is allowed. • Black leotard and black hair accessory are available at the Conservatory “Little Store” • Black jazz pants available at Dancing Supplies Depot. Boys and Young Men: • Black Conservatory t-shirt available at the Conservatory “Little Store.” • Black dance pants available at Dancing Supplies Depot. Afro-Fusion Dance Shoes Class may be taken in bare feet, with black jazz shoes, or with half-sole dance shoes. page 23 of 35
Martial Arts Department Dress Code Karate All students • White “Gi” (available from the instructor) with the colored belt according to level. Karate Shoes Karate students do not need shoes. Class is conducted barefoot. Music Department Dress Code No uniforms are required for music classes. Students are required to wash their hands thoroughly before class. Theater Department Dress Code All students • Black theater t-shirt and black sweat pants are available at the Conservatory “Little Store.” • Black CEA (PE) sneakers or black jazz shoes. • Composition notebook, pencil and highlighter are mandatory. • Girls and young ladies will wear hair away from their face. • No jewelry is allowed. page 24 of 35
