• Parents need to sign the notebook and encourage the student to practice daily to be<br />
prepared for the next class.<br />
Attendance<br />
• Students are expected to let their teachers know in advance if they will not be able<br />
to come to class.<br />
• All music students are required to attend all concerts performed at school. If the<br />
student is not playing he/she has to be in the audience.<br />
• Once scheduled to perform, whether at CEA or outside of the school, students are<br />
expected to keep this commitment.<br />
• All parents are invited to be present in their child’s private lesson after scheduling<br />
the visit with their child’s teacher.<br />
Evaluation<br />
Each exam will consist of performing the complete program in front of a jury.<br />
The program for instruments includes:<br />
• Scales, chords, and arpeggios<br />
• Technique exercises<br />
• A study<br />
• Two musical compositions<br />
• A first-sight exercise<br />
