flooring under the brand:
A Rich Heritage Armstrong Floor Products Europe has a heritage
as rich and varied as the product portfolio it offers. With parts of the
company dating back to 1899, it combines experience, professionalism
and service with creativity, style and flair to offer what is arguably the
largest collection of floorcovering solutions in the world.
The Global Player The integration of the flooring subsidiaries of
Armstrong World Industries formally amalgamates Armstrong DLW AG
and Armstrong Limited / SA into one organisation that can offer a choice
of product for all types of installations delivering the same high quality
service across Europe.
Armstrong Floor Products Europe operates with manufacturing plants
producing flooring solutions for education, healthcare, hospitality, office,
retail and residential applications. This pedigree has bred a high level
of consistency in product and quality, making Armstrong Floor Products
a world leader that delivers the same high level of service whether
the project is for a school in a small town or a multinational financial
institution in a city.
Colour and Design At Armstrong Floor Products Europe we always
ensure that we keep our finger on the pulse. Through a process of
intensive market and customer research combined with material and
manufacturing innovations we are able to offer fresh ideas to create
advancements in structure, patterning and colour. This has enabled us
to look at design holistically in order to produce floorcoverings suitable
for a wide range of applications aimed at creating exciting, relaxing and
inspirational environments.
We work hard to stimulate the imagination to ensure that our ranges are
broad enough to offer numerous solutions, which is why we have a vast
colour palette to appeal to all tastes. Our in-house design team can
advise on flooring layouts, logos and cut-in designs or printed patterns
for carpet tiles and can even create customised designs.

means that you will always make the right choice from the Armstrong
Education
The floor of an educational establishment plays
a chameleon role with precise requirements for a
variety of different usages. It must be hardwearing enough to
cope with hundreds of footfalls, the demands of science laboratories
or IT suites and the acoustic requirements of lecture theatres, whilst
also providing an atmosphere conducive to learning.
In many instances linoleum can provide the optimum solution. An
environmentally friendly floorcovering, linoleum’s hygienic qualities
have made it a firm favourite in this sector as it provides a healthy,
safe floorcovering for children and young people. Linoleum is
particularly hardwearing and its low maintenance properties make
it robust enough to deal with heavy wear. With an array of bright
colours and design possibilities linoleum can help improve learning
by creating bright, fun, inspirational environments to motivate young
minds.
For areas where a quiet atmosphere is required such as libraries,
lecture theatres and some classrooms, fibrebonded provides
excellent acoustic properties. Vinyl can provide the perfect solution for
laboratories where resistance to chemical staining is an issue and slip
resistant vinyl will ensure safety in changing rooms and cloakrooms.
Such are the demands of the educational floor that it takes expert
understanding and experience to cater for such varied applications.
At Armstrong Floor Products Europe we have years of expertise
gained at all levels of the educational system – from primary school
through to university – in the types of floorcoverings that are
suitable for particular environments. And with years of expert manufacturing
skills, you can be assured that the products will be fit for
purpose and fulfil the performance demands placed on them.
Products that combine function, performance and style are all
available from our broad portfolio.

Healthcare
Choosing floorcoverings to meet the diverse requirements
of the healthcare sector can prove challenging. Floorcoverings
are crucial in helping to combine the requirements of the clinical environment
with the relaxing surroundings naturally desired by patients to put them at
their ease.
The unparalleled number and broad range of floorcoverings available from
Armstrong Floor Products Europe means that a total solution for all areas
of the healthcare environment can be found from one source.
The floorcoverings in any healthcare application, whether it be an operating
theatre, waiting room, bathroom, laboratory, consulting room or ward must
fulfil the required performance demands. These may include resistance to
chemical spillages, the effects of castors or the ability to safely discharge
static electricity without damaging equipment, whilst also being hygienic,
easy to clean and robust enough to cope with stringent cleaning and
maintenance regimes demanded by high traffic environments.
Once the practical side has been met we can look at the more altruistic
elements of the design. Our design service can help to create an
atmosphere that provides a welcoming, reassuring environment that
conveys a sense of safety and well-being. Colour, pattern and texture
all play a role here and our team can advise on all manner of cut-in
designs whether the desire is for pictorial images, logos, zoning or
directional indicators using linoleum, vinyl or fibrebonded.
For larger healthcare establishments with retail facilities such as cafes,
newsagents and florists, our range of resilient and textile floorcoverings
in bright colours and patterns can be used to create pockets of interest.
Designer products commonly used in retail applications that mimic the
visuals of wood, metal and stone are equally suitable for healthcare and
can be used to create these prestige areas.
Whatever the demands, we have the solutions to fulfil your requirements.

Retail
No sector of interior design is as fast moving as retail.
In a world where image is everything consumers have become even
more discerning of the environment they choose to shop in. And with
shopping now being one of the most popular leisure pursuits, retailers
are even more aware of creating an environment that will attract
customers, encourage them to make purchases and grow brand
loyalty by making customers want to return.
The retail environment provides opportunities to be creative with
flooring design combining textile and resilient products for different
zones of the store. This is where Armstrong Floor Products Europe
is able to offer unparalleled choice to suit all interior designs, brand
profiles and performance criteria.
The most successful retail brands in the world are those that have
carefully built an image for themselves, which is reflected in the
design of their retail outlets. The style of interior design chosen will
more often than not reflect the tastes of the target market and the
type of product sold.
For instance, a youth fashion outlet is typically full of cutting edge
design, funky lighting, bold colours and unusual textures. Whereas
an upmarket or family orientated retail store is more interested in
conveying an image of quality, integrity and stability and will opt for
traditional colours, materials and patterns.
Let Armstrong Floor Products Europe buy into your brand concept
and visualise a retail concept that will reinforce brand values and
image whilst being durable enough to withstand customers coming
back time and time again.

Offices
In the commercial world, image is everything. First impressions
about an organisation’s professionalism, technical ability and even company
ethos can be formed upon first setting foot into the offices of that organisation.
The interior design of any office needs to reflect the mood and core
values of the company as it acts as a subliminal reinforcement of these
principles to staff and clients alike.
So whether it is a multi-site national or international company looking to roll
out the same purchasing plan and interior décor from office to office, or a
company operating at a single site, Armstrong Floor Products Europe has
the depth of product range in contemporary and traditional styles to suit any
corporate environment.
Armstrong Floor Products Europe has been a leading supplier to the office
sector for many years developing products in consultation with architects,
interior designers and end users to establish ranges that are practical and
stylish enough to meet the exacting requirements of this demanding sector.
The diversity of Armstrong Floor Products Europe’s product portfolio means
that whether the application is a prestigious reception area; a busy open plan
office or has the more practical requirements of the staff canteen or wash
rooms; it has an array of stylish products that will be commensurate with the
image and budget of the company.
Carpet tiles lend themselves perfectly to create funky patterns for breakout
areas and to delineate open plan working. Brands and logos can create
interesting features and the different textures and patterns can complement
the architectural scheme of the building. Broadloom carpeting provides the
luxuriant quality that is prerequisite for the boardroom. All can be planned
and created with our design and product experts to satisfy all your practical
and aesthetic needs.

Linoleum

Linoleum Specials
Marmorette Acoustic consists of two layers: Marmorette linoleum on a layer of cork. In this combination the cork
layer takes care of the sound reduction improvement. The resilience and heat insulation features of this product offer
enhanced comfort and warmth underfoot, which heightens the feeling of comfort.
Korkment is manufactured from natural raw materials. The production method is similar to that of linoleum, but,
apart from the binding agent. Korkment is made entirely of granulated cork. Korkment is characterised by its lasting
elasticity and flexibilty. It has very favourable resistance to wheeled traffic and good resilience. Above all it is
resistant to ageing. This means that its initial degree of impact sound improvement is assured for life. It should be
noted that when installing product on Korkment the floorcovering must be at least as thick as the Korkment
underlay.
Marmorette LCH / Linodur LCH
Armstrong offers a range of anti-static floorcoverings for a wide variety of applications including areas
where specially conductive demands are made. This range is the result of extensive Armstrong research
and has become firmly established as an indispensable feature in commercial and industrial applications.
Requirements for a floorcovering providing a maximum electrical resistance to earth of 1 x 10 8 ohms
are fulfilled by the installation of conductive Linoleum LCH. Linoleum LCH also fulfils the requirements
for local transfer resistance in accordance with VDE 0100.
Walldesign
Walldesign Border
Walldesign is a wallcovering suitable for use in wetrooms where there
are particularly stringent requirements for hygiene, wear resistance
and ease of cleaning, for example in hospitals and laboratories.
When installed horizontally with hot-welded seams, it creates a surface
that is completely impervious to water. When installed in wetrooms
horizontally and combined with a Walldesign Border, it produces a
seamless, continuous, watertight system.
