This class is common <strong>and</strong> occurs almost exclusively in crop fields of wheat or<br />
barley on cultivated soils. Scattered weeds may be present, especially common<br />
couch (Elymus repens), chickweed (Stellaria media) <strong>and</strong> annual meadow-grass<br />
(Poa annua). This class occurs mainly in East Anglia, southern Engl<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> the<br />
north Midl<strong>and</strong>s, but also elsewhere in the lowl<strong>and</strong>s.<br />
