PCC of the Month: Brenda Byers,
Bremerton, Washington
Brenda Byers - has
been a part of our
Avada team since
2001. Brenda went
away for a bit to work
on her own business,
but when there was an
opening in our Shelton
location in 2007 as the
Patient Care Coordinator
she came back. It
was an easy decision to
re-hire her. She has a
great work ethic, loves
the patients, gets along
with her co-workers,
and goes the extra mile
to do what ever she is
asked to do. In June
2010, Brenda relocated
to our Bremerton location,
which was much
closer to her home. Now
instead of commuting
every day 150 miles
roundtrip to work in the
Shelton office she commutes 120 miles, all
because, she loves her job and wanted to
work for Avada - What dedication!
Brenda was just married in August to Bob
Byers. A Hawaiian themed wedding made for
a great day in Washington. Their combined
family now totals 6 kids, and 6 grandkids.
Brenda and Bob enjoy attending car shows
and showing off their two beautiful classic
Chevy’s, a ‘56 Chevy and a ‘67 El Camino
(See photo). Brenda often drives one or the
other to work, which always creates new en
counters with people taking a look. Brenda
also keeps busy with gardening, going to
yard sales and second hand stores. Brenda
is very artistic and you would be amazed at
the things she creates with items she finds.
Brenda says: “It is wonderful to have so
many chances to help people. I see each
contact as an opportunity to improve someone’s
lifestyle. It is a great feeling at the end
of the day to know I have been able to assist
someone to experience a better quality of life.
It feels good to give back,
as many of Avada’s employees
and patients have
given to me. By helping
Patients you are actually
helping yourself to
become a more valuable
member of the community.
Each day provides opportunities
to help every
person I come in contact
with to improve the quality
of their lives by helping
them to hear better, and encouraging them to
face the challenges life has put before them.”
Brenda has been a tremendous asset to
our Avada Team. We are proud to be able to
have her as the Patient Care Coordinator of
the Month.
