As the coordinator of the Sexual Offender Registry for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office I am forwarding you information<br />
regarding a level 2-sex offender residing in your school district. Public notification is discretionary. Having a vulnerable<br />
population, you may choose to provide this information to all school employees who may observe this individual at or near a<br />
school. I am providing to you all of the information you may release to employees or parents. If you choose to release this<br />
information please do so completely. There is no further information available to release. Please do not release limited<br />
information advising parents to contact the Sheriff’s Office for additional information.<br />
To obtain information regarding level 1, 2 & 3 offenders, NYS offers a free 800 number. This phone number is 800-262-3257.<br />
Additional information regarding level 2 and 3 offenders may be accessed via the Internet at criminaljustice.state.ny.us.<br />
You may also provide the following Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office number 435-3090. This number provides a detailed<br />
description of the above listed options. It does not provide any other information regarding the offender, only the above listed<br />
1-800 phone number and web site. It does however provide information available to the public on steps necessary to research<br />
a particular individual or address to determine an individual’s registry status.<br />
