trans-Expo <strong>2009</strong><br />

Join us on Tuesday 10 November from 8:30am – 3:30pm at Place<br />

Bonaventure in Hall 400 East for Canada’s Transit and Bus Exhibition,<br />

Trans-Expo. There will be over 100 exhibitors, including more than 15<br />

vehicles on display.<br />

Directions: Turn right from the main entrance of the Marriott Chateau<br />

Champlain Hotel. Place Bonaventure is 2 blocks away on your right, just<br />

after the Hilton’s Parking access.<br />

door prizE<br />

All delegates at Trans-Expo are eligible for a draw to win a $2000 travel<br />

voucher. Draw will be held at 3:00 pm at Trans-Expo .<br />

transportation to conFErEncE EvEnts<br />

Shuttle bus transportation has been arranged for all tours and special events. Unless<br />

otherwise indicated in the schedule, buses leave the Marriott Chateau Champlain<br />

Hotel from the main entrance. Please find your transit pass enclosed in your<br />

registration envelope for access to transit service for all <strong>CUTA</strong> Fall <strong>Conference</strong><br />

delegates for the duration of the <strong>Conference</strong>.<br />

Shuttle buses will be provided to the airport by Transdev on Wednesday 11<br />

November. Please come to the Neufchatel room at the Marriott Chateau<br />

Champlain Hotel to sign up for this service.<br />

Tell us what you think about sessions and the overall conference by completing<br />

our evaluation forms, and you will be eligible to win a voucher toward a free<br />

full registration at a future <strong>CUTA</strong> <strong>Conference</strong>! Simply drop off your form in<br />

any of the baskets located in each session room or at the <strong>CUTA</strong> Registration<br />

desk. The winner will be drawn at the Wednesday breakfast.<br />

<strong>2009</strong> national transit EmployEE rEcognition awards<br />

Be sure to attend the Awards Ceremony at Wednesday’s breakfast where you<br />

will get the chance to become acquainted with the urban transit industry’s<br />

most valuable players! At this year’s ceremony, employee awards will be<br />

presented in the categories of Employee Excellence, Lifetime Achievement,<br />

Outstanding Achievement or Support for Public Transit, Volunteer /<br />

Advocate and Distinguished Service.<br />

<strong>2009</strong> cUta cEntEnnial scholarship awards<br />

The Centennial scholarships were created with the intent to develop and<br />

foster expertise that improves the visibility of public transit as a career option<br />

and to grow a stronger pool of expertise for the industry’s future.<br />

Each year, five deserving students registered in full-time Canadian<br />

postsecondary institutions across Canada are awarded scholarships.<br />
