Greenware to Final Bisqued Product<br />

Once the pot has been decorated, it is allowed<br />

to slowly dry<br />

When totally dry, a pit is made in the ground or<br />

side of a hill. Ware is placed on top of each<br />

other, and fuel, which may consist of wood,<br />

camel dung, olive oil pits are placed on top, or in<br />

a firing chamber, up and the pit is fired for about<br />

a day and closed up.<br />

Allowed to cool off for about a 2-3 days, then<br />

the ware is removed for use. The unglazed<br />

earthenware pot is porous, but stone like.
