Conclusion:<br />

Above findings and reconstruction suggest that<br />

whatever the history given by the police was<br />

consistent with the findings. In such cases it is<br />

difficult for the police to prove their innocence,<br />

as sufficient and scientific grounds are not<br />

available. But meticulous examination <strong>of</strong> the<br />

body and relevant reconstruction <strong>of</strong> the events<br />

can be helpful to come out with the truth, which<br />

has a great social and medicolegal implication.<br />

The present case also highlights the importance<br />

<strong>of</strong> examination <strong>of</strong> clothes in medico-legal cases,<br />

especially in firearm injuries.<br />
