THE POTTO<br />
The patio is an animal that lives in West Africa. Though it looks like<br />
a squirrel, the patio belongs to a large group <strong>of</strong> mammals which includes<br />
apes and man. It is a very slow moving animal and is most active at night.<br />
It has a very short tail, a thumb, and an index finger.<br />
Patios live in groups or colonies. They have loud voices that can be<br />
heard for miles. In captivity, the potto is delicate and must be kept in a<br />
warm cage.
