Lest We Forget T-Shirt
Armistice, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month marked
the end of the First World War. This t-shirt honours this historic
event with the message “Lest We Forget” on front and back and
defining the date on which Remembrance Day services have been
held ever since. Like our other t-shirts it is made for the Legion
from 100% pre-shrunk cotton and the images are directly screen
printed- not heat transferred.

FIRST WORLD WAR VETERANS
– THE END OF AN ERA
For Canada, events that took place during the First World War
were defining moments. Canada grew into nationhood, and
those who served in the Canadian Armed Forces at that time
earned a peerless reputation of courage and commitment. Two
generations later, Canadians still recognize that those who served
and those who died are owed a debt that can never be repaid.
Now that the last of the Canadian Veterans of the First World War
has passed away, it is even more important that we ensure that
the memory of their sacrifices will never be forgotten. 628,736 of
our fellow citizens stepped forward to serve. 66,573 of them died.

The End of an Era Commemorative Pin
The Supply Department is pleased to introduce a lapel pin
dedicated to the preservation of the memory of the Veterans
of the First World War. It is composed of a wreath of maple
leaves embracing the torch of Remembrance being passed from
one generation to the next, graced with a scroll announcing
“Memoriam Eorum Retinebimus” – We Will Remember Them.

D-DAY 1944
D-DAY 1944 - JUNO BEACH
Of all the significant events of the 20th Century, the Normandy Invasion on 6 June
1944 was the most important, changing the
course of history. It marked the beginning of
the end of Nazi rule in Europe and ultimately
led to the development of the modern world.
Canada made a major contribution to the
D-Day attack by taking responsibility for
one of the five beachheads, known forever
afterwards as Juno Beach. 14,000 Canadian
troops by ship and 450 by parachute landed
in the early hours of that fateful day,
supported by the Royal Canadian Navy and
the Royal Canadian Air Force.
Juno Beach represents the will of Canada
as a nation to preserve and defend freedom
and democracy, not only for ourselves but
also for others saddled with the yoke of
oppression. The Supply Department of The
Royal Canadian Legion is proud to recognize
the achievements of those Canadians who
took part in this heroic event with this
collection of commemorative products.
All of these items can be worn by Legion
members and the Canadian public alike,
so that all Canadians may take part in this
worthy tribute.

Commemorative Pin
Recognition of this major event in Canada’s
history compelled our designers to put
extra effort into producing a quality lapel
pin worthy of the occasion. The beautifully
enamelled Poppy is die-stamped
separately, then attached to the heavily
embossed and enamelled body of the
pin. Finally, the Rhodium plating produces
the high lustre finish. It is available in both
