Ancient, powerful and intriguing… The Tower of London, founded by William the Conqueror in 1066-7, is one of the world’s most famous fortresses. The infamous White Tower, symbol of the Norman Conquest, makes an impressive location for entertaining and the many stories to be told about the Tower will amaze and intrigue your guests. The Martin Tower, which was home to the Crown Jewels for nearly 200 years, is also available for more intimate dinners. Romantic, flamboyant and majestic… Hampton Court Palace, home to Henry VIII and some of the most famous kings and queens of England, makes an unforgettable location. Over the centuries the palace has hosted some of the most lavish celebrations ever seen. Dramatic, revolutionary and exuberant… The Banqueting House – the first building in England to be designed in the Palladian style – was finished for James 1 in 1622. It was created for splendid court masques and entertainment; today you can walk in the footsteps of a dazzling company of courtiers who once drank, danced and partied beneath the magnificent Rubens-painted ceiling. The Main Hall, set for a candle-lit dinner, is an awe-inspiring sight. This beautiful room is also perfect for drinks receptions, fashion shows and prestigious conferences and presentations. The vaulted Undercroft, enjoyed as a ‘drinking den’ by James I, makes an imaginative party space. Feminine, stylish and fashionable… Kensington Palace, surrounded by tranquil gardens in the heart of west London, first became a royal residence for William and Mary in 1689, who commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to create an elegant palace away from the noise and grime of Whitehall. The birthplace and childhood home of Queen Victoria, the palace has also hosted the courts of Queen Anne, George I and George II. Today Kensington houses a stunning collection of English court dress, which can be viewed privately by your guests as part of a memorable event in one of the many gorgeous rooms available to hire. Intimate, domestic and intense… Kew Palace, the tiny ‘doll’s house’ of a royal residence – has been restored after a major conservation project lasting ten years, and re-creates the palace as it was used by George III and some of his family. Kew is perfect as a summer* venue for an intimate group of friends, family or very special corporate guests, who can enjoy a private tour of the house before sitting down to dinner in the King’s Dining Room. It was in this room that HM The Queen Elizabeth celebrated her 80th birthday, surrounded by her close family, on a memorable night in 2006. *Available from April to September
