faced challenges that true Christians today never have<br />
to face. Consider the unique times in which he lived.<br />
The Jewish religious system of things, with its temple in<br />
Jerusalem and its priesthood, had long been approved by<br />
Jehovah but was about to be cast off and replaced with the<br />
Christian congregation arrangement. (Matthew 23:33-38)<br />
Meanwhile, many of the religious leaders were teaching<br />
falsehoods derived from Greek philosophy. In the temple,<br />
corruption had become so rampant that Jesus called it “a<br />
cave of robbers.” (Mark 11:17) Did Jesus stay away from<br />
that temple and the synagogues? No! Jehovah was still using<br />
those arrangements. Until God stepped in and made<br />
changes, Jesus obediently went to the temple festivals and<br />
the synagogue.—Luke 4:16; John 5:1.<br />
