This release provides a profile of musical life in the era of Tchaikovsky’s 1812
Overture. As well as marches which inspired Russian soldiers, it includes
chamber works by Bortnyansky and polonaises by Kozlovsky, a Polish officer

Richter brings his extraordinary creative individuality to these works. These
