This release provides a profile of musical life in the era of Tchaikovsky’s 1812<br />

Overture. As well as marches which inspired Russian soldiers, it includes<br />

chamber works by Bortnyansky and polonaises by Kozlovsky, a Polish officer<br />

who took part in the campaigns of the Russian army.<br />
