Our life passes through different seasons. It is a process of growing
and maturing daily. We are here on this earth for just a
little while. Still, there are certain events in our lives that change
us forever.
This past February has been an incredible month with my dad’s passing
on February 12 th , my 49 th birthday on the 13 th and
finishing qualification for Nation at the end of February. As a result of
these circumstances, I have been changed forever. My faith prompts
me to remember how brief my own time on earth will be so I ask,
“What are we doing today to create our tomorrow?” I believe that we
are all here to make a difference. Are we letting life pass us by or are
we making a difference that will carry us into eternity? Arbonne has
given me that opportunity to make a difference in so many lives.

February 2004 will forever be a memorable month. I was suddenly
called to California because my dad was very ill in the hospital and
was not expected to make it through the night. All seven children
arrived at the hospital on February 10 th . I was the last to arrive and
feared I would be too late. Dad was alert but struggling to breathe
and I could tell that he was very happy to see me. I said, “Hi dad”
and he said, “Hi Mrs. Kansas!” Through my tears I told him that his
“crown” was much bigger than mine. As he said his goodbyes he
told us how proud he was of each of us. Dad was always my biggest
cheerleader and I know how much he wanted to see me promote to
National Vice President. I believe that this was a God-ordained
event; thanks, dad.
Dad always encouraged us to be and to do our best and to go after
our dreams. While we were in California my sister, Diana made a
commitment that she was going to the top of Arbonne with me. She
went home and sponsored her first Consultant. My dream is to have
my whole family at the top of this business.
After my daughter, Schandra arrived from Tennessee, with
family present, we read Scripture, prayed and sang at dad’s
bedside. What a sendoff! He touched so many lives in his 46 years
