NVP
A LIFE ORDAINED
Independent Consultant, National Vice President
Linda Loveless Nation; Olathe, KS
Our life passes through different seasons. It is a process of growing
and maturing daily. We are here on this earth for just a
little while. Still, there are certain events in our lives that change
us forever.
This past February has been an incredible month with my dad’s passing
on February 12 th , my 49 th birthday on the 13 th and
finishing qualification for Nation at the end of February. As a result of
these circumstances, I have been changed forever. My faith prompts
me to remember how brief my own time on earth will be so I ask,
“What are we doing today to create our tomorrow?” I believe that we
are all here to make a difference. Are we letting life pass us by or are
we making a difference that will carry us into eternity? Arbonne has
given me that opportunity to make a difference in so many lives.
Wow … National Vice President … I am still pinching myself!
February 2004 will forever be a memorable month. I was suddenly
called to California because my dad was very ill in the hospital and
was not expected to make it through the night. All seven children
arrived at the hospital on February 10 th . I was the last to arrive and
feared I would be too late. Dad was alert but struggling to breathe
and I could tell that he was very happy to see me. I said, “Hi dad”
and he said, “Hi Mrs. Kansas!” Through my tears I told him that his
“crown” was much bigger than mine. As he said his goodbyes he
told us how proud he was of each of us. Dad was always my biggest
cheerleader and I know how much he wanted to see me promote to
National Vice President. I believe that this was a God-ordained
event; thanks, dad.
Dad always encouraged us to be and to do our best and to go after
our dreams. While we were in California my sister, Diana made a
commitment that she was going to the top of Arbonne with me. She
went home and sponsored her first Consultant. My dream is to have
my whole family at the top of this business.
After my daughter, Schandra arrived from Tennessee, with
family present, we read Scripture, prayed and sang at dad’s
bedside. What a sendoff! He touched so many lives in his 46 years
Linda and husband, Greg.
of ministry as a Pastor. I realize how blessed I am to have such
a loving family. Thank you dad for helping me see how
precious life is.
Arbonne has been my vehicle for making a difference in my own
life and also for everyone who comes into my life. I look back and
I know that Arbonne was a gift given to me at a very low time in my
life. Eight years ago while sewing in my basement and
burning the midnight oil in order to get deadlines met I remember
bawling uncontrollably one night and asking God, “Is this all there
is?” You see, I started my business at home in order to be able to
raise my three beautiful children and to be available to go to their
games and events. I was so busy meeting deadlines that I was not
available to them after all and I was struggling to put food on the
table. There was even one Christmas when we had to tell the kids
not to expect much. My Why was pretty big! There were times when
I felt like giving up. Like Rita says, “What you think about you bring
about.” Thank you God for hearing my prayer. Those of you who
are building your business, please do not quit before payday … it
is just around the corner!
One of the most rewarding parts of Arbonne for me is
watching the transformation in people’s lives who come into this
business. Arbonne is not just a company or product; it is a
personal development course that can and does transform lives.
When I left for California we were in third-step qualification for
Nation. With two days left in the short month of February and far
from reaching our goal of Nation, my team came together and
made it happen! How exciting it was to watch those numbers go up!
Thanks to: My Area Managers, Randi Midgley’s team, DMs Betty,
Suzanne, Rose and Linda for maintaining Area. To AM Carol
so fast; thank you for your patience as my business grows. You have
always encouraged me with your kind and gentle spirit. And to Greg:
What can I say? It seems that we have grown up together. Thank you
for believing in me and for allowing me to be who I need to be an for
being proud of me in all of my accomplishments. You can now retire
from your day job and do what you love to do, coach! I love you. And
to my mom: You are an incredible pillar of strength and I love you.
I have seen God’s hand in so many ways during my life and I believe
it was all ordained by God. I read the following at my dad’s memorial
service, per his request, and I would like to share it with you.
He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved
much; who had gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of
little children; who had filled his niche and accomplished his task; who
has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved
poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul; who has never lacked
appreciation of earth’s beauty or failed to express it; who has always
looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose
life was an inspiration; who memory a benediction.
I love you dad!
