This has become my favorite centauria, making<br />

clumps of grey-green foliage which shows the<br />

maroon-black cornflowers to perfection. Easy<br />

in ordinary soil and sun. 35cm. Plate B<br />

Centaurea montana ‘Carnea’ £ 4.10<br />

A good pink form of the Mountain Knapweed,<br />

with its cornflower like blooms. In flower early<br />

summer. Prefers sun. 40cm. high.<br />

Clump former with deeply-divided silver foliage.<br />

In mid-summer, semi-double rose-pink<br />

flowers emerge from papery buds held on stiff<br />

Pale yellow flowers in July and August. This<br />

is considered to be the choicest yellow Knapweed.<br />

pale yellow flowers, lovely at the back of the<br />

very double rosettes of cool greenish-white<br />

Creamy white flowers with a contrasting purple<br />

centre makes this a unique and outstanding<br />
