PENSTEMON<br />
Penstemons are invaluable plants for extending<br />
the flowering season from July<br />
until the autumn. They prefer full sun &<br />
a well drained soil. In cold areas, a few<br />
autumn cuttings may be advisable. Only<br />
prune plants in the Spring when the new<br />
basal growth is appearing, as the old top<br />
growth will help to protect plants from<br />
severe frosts.<br />
