ERYNGIUM<br />

An extraordinary group of plants, often<br />

with strong metallic-blue colouring to flowers<br />

and stems.Their main cultural need is<br />

an open situation in sun and free-draining<br />

but fertile soil. If in doubt, a bucket-full of<br />

grit incorporated into the planting area<br />

makes a huge difference to root growth<br />

and subsequent vigour.<br />
