donations for the auction.
Auto Museum: Bob Swanson is very grateful for the
donation of $750. He offered to hold a Board meeting at
the Auto Museum.
Autocross: The team has provided us with budget
reconciliation for the Dec. 16 th AX with a net income of
$1244. Dates scheduled for the Q: March 11 th AX W lot /
April 21-22, Performance Driving School / April 28th AX

New Business: Standing Rules Change——Tom Brown has
proposed a change with the rules. The Term “driving
events” refers to Autocrosses, Driver education event (DE),
Time Trials, and the Performance Driving School.
Generally, Autocrosses, DEs and Time Trials presented by
San Diego Region will be conducted in Accordance with the
Zone 8 competition and safely rules. For local events, if the
event chairs find any part of the Zone rules inappropriate for
a specific event they may ask the SDR Board of Directors
for a variance. However, if the board (in conjunction with
the Zone staff) has declared an event to be a Zone 8 event
then any variance to the rules must be approved by the Zone
8 Rules Committee. MSP
Honorary Vice President —— John Straub announced
tonight that Jack Case will be named Honorary VP for
2007. Jack was one of the National Vice-Presidents at the
time our region was formed back in 1957.
50 th Anniversary Committee ——Tom Brown, John Straub,
and Tami Ibbetson will continue on as Committee members
for the 50 th Anniversary. The Board is looking into
expanding the committee.
Name Badges —— Discussion on name badges.
Driver’s Dinner —— AX Chair need to come up with a
proposal for their driver’s dinner.
Tech Session —— Trying to get a tech session in Feb. for
Parade Preparation.
Volunteers Coordinator —— Bob McLaughlin is our newest
region volunteer coordinator to assist Carolyn to help get
volunteers for the 2007 California Speed Festival.
Forms —— Newly updated Budget and Reconciliation
forms have been adopted.
Standing Rules Committee —— Jim Duncan, Greg Phillips,
Martha McGowan, and Keith Verlaque will continue on the
Standing Rules Committee.
