2007<br />

At Baselworld 2007, the Universal<br />

Genève booth will be located in the<br />

famous “Hall of Desires”. While the actual<br />

spot is the same as 2006, the size of the<br />

booth itself bears no comparison, since<br />

Universal Genève will spread over a 96<br />

square-metre floor area, three times larger<br />

than the previous year, and comprise<br />

two levels. Four presentation rooms on<br />

the upper floor will provide space for the<br />

specialists from the various markets and<br />

As a seasoned connoisseur and passionately<br />

dedicated watchmaking devotee,<br />

company CEO Vincent Lapaire<br />

began his career at<br />

Universal Genève by a<br />

meticulous analysis of<br />

the firm’s situation.<br />

Enlisting the cooperation<br />

of his personnel as<br />

well as craftsmen, suppliers<br />

and collectors,<br />

Mr. Lapaire undertook a<br />

methodical restructuring<br />

of the activities of<br />

Universal Genève, while<br />

being careful to explain<br />

the reasons behind his<br />

journalists to admire the new collection.<br />

All the 2006-2007 models will exhibited,<br />

but there will also be showcases displaying<br />

antique watches as well as the<br />

various versions of the Microtor.<br />

Part of the booth will be open to the<br />

public, which will thus also get a chance<br />

to view the models. Meanwhile, clients<br />

will be invited to spend a pleasant<br />

moment in the dedicated lounge.<br />
