First Anniversary of the <strong>Voith</strong> Paper Technology Center<br />
(PTC) – Success through Innovation<br />
Over the last few years <strong>Voith</strong> has launched numerous innovative<br />
products into the marketplace. The changing demands on research<br />
and development have led to reviewing and in some cases modifying<br />
the entire papermaking process, from stock preparation to<br />
finishing. There has thus been a radical change in R&D opportunities<br />
and <strong>challenge</strong>s.<br />
<strong>Voith</strong> met this trend by opening the<br />
Paper Technology Center (PTC) one<br />
year ago. Unique features such as a<br />
fully integrated fiber design facility<br />
and state of the art production loops,<br />
enable testing at the highest operating<br />
speeds and outputs. The most<br />
outstanding feature of the VPM 6 is<br />
however its modular machinery<br />
arrangement. This features allow<br />
individual modules to be precisely<br />
arranged according to customer<br />
demands.<br />
Twelve months of experience have<br />
confirmed the correctness of this<br />
concept: all our customers are highly<br />
impressed by the excellent practice<br />
