2 <strong>CONTENUR</strong> www.contenur.com In the previous edition of this Newsletter, we wrote about opening our branch in Poland and about starting production activities there in March this year. We also promised to expand on what, at the time, was just a brief summary about a major event in our company. We are pleased to announce that the first few months of operations have gone really well. They have not been entirely problem-free, as any project like this has a learning curve. But we still hit our targets, some even ahead of schedule. Grzegorz Bebas PL Grzegorz has joined Contenur's team as Head of Production at our factory in Poland. He is an industrial engineer and has gained a wealth of experience within multinational companies, where he coordinated and supervised operations in manufacturing centres. Poland NEW ADDITIONS So today most of Contenur's clients in this part of Europe are already being supplied from the new factory. We have achieved this whilst strictly abiding to the product and service quality standards expected of the Contenur brand. We have been able to adapt so quickly because we picked high quality people who understood and adapted perfectly to our company philosophy. The new Contenur factory in the Polish city of Mielec is equipped with the best technology available at this time and is designed to grow according to market changes. This Agnieszka Strzelczyk PL Agnieszka has joined the Contenur Group as Head of Logistics and Despatch for our branch in Poland. She has a degree in English philology from the State Higher Professional School in the city of Krosno. Her professional experience has focussed on customer care and logistics management for companies in the Polish market. Joanna Chmara PL Joanna has joined the Contenur Group as Head of Quality and Purchasing at our head office in Poland. She has a degree in English philology from the University of Rzeszów and completed her education with a Masters in International Business and Project Management at the same university. <strong>CONTENUR</strong> www.contenur.com production unit holds a quality certificate and has the same certifications as the factory in Getafe. The geographical location of this new production centre enables us to produce our products at a convenient distance for our clients in neighbouring countries, and puts us within a potential market of 170 million people, including Poland, Germany, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic states. We also have the Russian and Ukrainian markets in our sights for the medium term. These are exciting challenges for us. Our aim is to become Rafal Tomczak PL Rafal has joined as a Salesperson at Contenur Group for the Polish Market, reporting to Piotr Wrona, national Sales Director. He has a degree in Business Management from the State Higher Professional School in the city of Kalisz. Rafal has vast experience within multinational companies and extensive training in sales management. Poland the market leader in the waste container systems sector, mainly in Poland but also in the other countries in the region. These markets will have to work hard over the next few months and years to adapt their current collection systems to today's more modern, efficient context. This is the ideal context to showcase the solutions designed by Contenur, our vast experience in other European countries and the proximity of our production unit to these countries. This is the rationale behind our venture. We hope to give you an insight in the following issues by describing the many success of our team in Poland. Contenur Polonia makes a strong start to its dealings in the market The Lithuanian City of Kaunas (337,000 inhabitants) was one of the first East European cities to put its trust in the team at Contenur Polonia. The Kaunas Council awarded Contenur the supply of ten thousand 240-litre rear-loading containers. The company, UAB ECOSERVICE, leader in waste collection in Lithuania, will be responsible for carrying out container distribution. 3
