Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson is in demand across the

As the Co-founder and head of Mantis Recordings
(Rhythm Plate, Brooks), Martin Iverson aka Atjazz has
been on the forefront of jazzy UK deep house for ages.
Operating from Derby he’s been producing a steady
supply of Deep House beats mixed with Electric Soul &
Downbeat.
His tracks can be seen everywhere from Hed Kandi
to Irma, from Naked Music to Grand Central. Now
Loopmasters are very proud to present his royalty free
sample collection, “Deep & Analogue”, created for
funky, fresh and soulful house and downbeat producers
worldwide.
Alongside creating long player albums such as “Full
Circle”, Martin has also been a prolific remixer throughout
his career remixing and reworking songs & works for
artists such as Nitin Sawhney, Bob Sinclar, Jazzanova,
Zed Bias & Omar, and is highly respected for his
musicality and attention to detail with every aspect of his
productions.
Within this Deep & Analogue sample collection producers
should expect to find over 450MB of 24Bit samples,
including 250+ Loops and 140 Single sounds and one
shots. Also included are 63 Ready to play sampler
patches (Drum Kits, Basses, Leads, Pads, Rhodes
and FX) which will work with all popular soft samplers
including Reason NNXT, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Kontakt.
Reason Refill, Apple Loops, and Ableton Live versions are

In detail the Atjazz sample collection includes 149
Drumloops between 117 to 124 Bpm, 47 Classic Breaks,
19 Bass Loops, 43 Synth Loops, 60 Single Drum
Samples, 26 FX Sounds, 22 Leads, 20 Pads and Layers,
7 Rhodes Chords and additional FX.
“In order to make this artist pack for Loopmasters I had
to think long and hard about how create the pack in a
way that I would be be able to generate many sounds as I
would for one of my own songs.
Not working “in the box’ using new methods of music
production ‘Plugins, VSTi’s etc...’ meant that a lot of hard
core recording was in store for me. Recording over 10
analogue machines each of a different age meant that I
could give out a good varied selection of usable analogue
sounds taken from the actual synths & machines. I for
one am an avid sampler of my own sounds and love
to get into editing and would love to see more people
getting back into the art of sampling.”

All beats were produced and mixed in cubase through
UAD neve tech... nice and round and phat!
Mostly dry to leave maximum room for individual fx
processing, no softsynths were used along with live
percussion, Bass, Horns and Guitars.

About Atjazz
From his misspent youth skateboarding the
frontier towns of North Eastern England, Martin
Iveson arrived into the UK’s Midland scene in
the early nineties, here he was to take a job at a
new computer games development studio by the
name of Core Design Ltd., this company is now
synonymous with Lara Croft and the series of Tomb
Raider games.
Not content with scoring this, one of the world’s most
famous video games, Martin left the company 13 years
later to concentrate more on his own studio environment
in which to channel his musical aspirations further, and
invite other musicians and producers to do the same.
The success of his early works including his first EP
‘Story’ in 1996 led to the well-received album ‘That
Something’, which was later licensed in Japan by Sony/
Kioon in 1998. This debut album also featured cover
artwork by Fujio Akatsuka, very well known in Japan for
his Illustrations and animated cartoons. With two further
albums, ‘Labfunk’ & ‘Labresults’ following soon after,
Atjazz had at this time established himself as a distinct
and inspirational voice in the underground music scene.
Martin has also been a prolific remixer throughout his
career remixing and reworking songs & works for artists
such as Nitin Sawhney, Bob Sinclar, Jazzanova, Zed Bias
& Omar to name but a few and was even requested to
rework Henri Mancini’s ‘The Pink Panther Returns” for

production techniques forward and it’s the perfect
practice pitch for trying out new ideas and breaking
moulds within a diluted industry. “Remixing helps to
hone your sound and allows the producer to print their
trademark into another space”
Martin’s trademark sound has been requested on many
occasions by top class vocalists including Clara Hill,
Replife & Deborah Jordan for their own artist album
projects and also rubbing shoulders with some amazing
musicians & producers along the way. Martin has also
teamed up with world-class production legend Charles
Webster as ‘Version’ and are working on their debut
album for Miso Records.
2009 saw Martin close his label Mantis Recordings due to
harsh industry changes and from these ashes came the
Imprint appropriately named ‘Atjazz Record Company’,
which has flown to great heights within the digital
realm and has seen many fantastic and sought after
releases including his 3rd long player ‘Full Circle’. This
label concentrates heavily on Martin’s productions and
collaborations. Atjazz Record Company is a new chapter
for Atjazz but with a continuation of his trademark sound.

Using the Samples
Thanks for buying this Royalty Free Sample Collection
from Loopmasters, every care has been taken to ensure
that you can start using these samples easily in your
productions, but you may find the following notes useful.
Wav/Acid and Rex2 File Users
Simply copy the pack to the hard drive containing your
samples and use your music software to locate the files
that you are looking for in the easily navigable folder
structures
Stylus RMX Users
The folder Structure for Rex files on this Loopmasters title
is fully compatible with stylus RMX. Ensure you have the
latest version of STYLUS RMX and the Sage converter.
To Import: First copy the Download to your hard drive, then
simply drag the folder inside the REX FILES folder onto the
‘Import Rex Files’ button on your sage converter found in
the Spectrasonics folder on your hard drive. Wait for the
sage converter to finish.
To Play: Open up an instance of RMX within your
sequencer.
On the directory select user ‘libraries’ and you will see the
imported library click on this and you should now see all
the suites and elements in the browser.
Halion Users
Once you have loaded the CD/Download onto your
computer, use Halions’s File browser to locate the main
folder on your hard drive then locate the folder named
SAMPLER PATCHES, from here locate the HALION folder
Finally click (+) on the folder of patches you wish to load
e.g. DRUMS, then drag the Halion patches into the main
Programs Window.
Alternatively highlight the folder type e.g. Drums and press
the Import button to load all of the patches from that folder.
NOTE: When Loading Halion Patches you may need to
locate the samples.
IMPORTANT ensure you have copied the entire CD
or pack folder to your hard drive first and unpacked if
necessary.
This is simply done by double clicking the fxp file (Halion
Patch) within the Halion Browser window, and when
prompted click on the automatic or manual search button,
then locate the Root folder of the pack or CD you have
purchased, Halion will then find the samples for the patch.
If you wish you can then resave the patch so you will not
have to repeat this procedure.

The Sounds remain the property of its manufacturer and/or
Loopmasters Limited. (Collectively, ‘Licensor’) and are licensed
to you as the original end-user (‘Licensee’), for use subject to
the provisions below. All rights not expressly granted herein are
reserved exclusively by Licensor.
The Sounds in a category of ‘Sample Pack’:
The Licensee may use the Sounds in combination with other
sounds in music productions (which include soundtracks of such
as films, video productions, radio/TV programs or commercials,
computer games and multimedia presentations, library music),
public performances, and other reasonable musical purposes
within musical compositions.
The Licensee may modify the Sounds and may use the Sounds
for commercial purposes as part of a musical composition with
other sounds.
The Licensee MAY NOT use the Sounds in isolation as sound
effects (i.e. a sequence of musical events) or within any
competitive products that are sold or relicensed to multiple
third parties. In these scenarios the Licensee must arrange an
extension with Loopmasters Limited.
A right to use the sounds is granted only to the Licensee and is
NOT transferable.
This license expressly forbids resale, relicensing or other
distribution of the Sounds, either as they exist or any modification
thereof. You cannot sell, loan, rent, lease, assign, upload to or
download from any server, or transfer all or any of the enclosed
sounds to another user, or for use in any competitive product.
Licensor will not be responsible if the sounds does not fit the
particular purpose of the Licensee.
This is a general license which covers all Loopmasters products,
it may not apply to products from other labels that we represent
at Loopmasters.com - if in doubt please email us or contact the
label directly.
