<strong>Gillhuber</strong> <strong>receives</strong> <strong>new</strong> <strong>order</strong><br />

<strong>Gillhuber</strong> will manage external warehouse and interplant transport<br />

for BMW plants in Bavaria and Leipzig<br />

<strong>Gillhuber</strong> <strong>Logistik</strong> Group is expanding its cooperation with the BMW<br />

Group in the field of logistics services. As of April 2010, <strong>Gillhuber</strong><br />

<strong>Logistik</strong> <strong>GmbH</strong> will be in charge of organizing and carrying out interplant<br />

transport for all Bavarian locations and the plant in Leipzig. Up to 200<br />

trucks for around 1,000 runs will be in operation every day. To organize<br />

these operations, <strong>Gillhuber</strong> applies carrier structures, innovative IT<br />

concepts as well as up-to-date planning and scheduling tools.<br />

Significant synergy effects will result from bundling external warehouse<br />

and interplant shipments.<br />

<strong>Gillhuber</strong> <strong>Logistik</strong> <strong>GmbH</strong> delivers an innovative concept: by means of<br />

modern IT applications and efficiently organized processes, it will be<br />

able to considerably reduce the proportion of empty runs and<br />

substantially increase capacity utilization of the equipment used.<br />
