Youthact Charity Appeal
By Angela Brooks, Frances Freeman and Youthact
On Friday 2 nd December, the Alice Smith Choral Singers, comprising sixteen
students, kindly supported our Christmas Charity Appeal by performing at the
Park Royal‟s annual lighting the tree event. Parents, hotel guests and staff were
treated to a magical rendition of Christmas favourites which included „Frosty the
Snowman‟ and „Winter Wonderland‟.
The evening was summed up by senior student, Bethany Tennant, who said, “It
was a pleasure to perform during this special season to give a little extra to those
children who are less fortunate than us. We are all passionate about singing, so it
was most rewarding to be able to use our passion to make a difference in the
lives of others.”
We, the Youthact team, would like to take this opportunity to give a massive
thanks to Ms Anderson, whose dedication to both choral performance and
charitable causes made this performance possible. Not only did she rehearse with
the students to ensure a most memorable evening, but her innovative
arrangements added to the festive ambience.
We also thank Mr Hamilton for his support and Miss Bokesch for taking photographs. Finally, we thank all
parents, students and staff for their generous donations in support of our Christmas Charity Appeal for the
Lighthouse Orphanage and Nur Salam. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas.
