<strong>Seminar</strong> goals:<br />
The participants in this seminar are trained in the<br />
fundamentals of proper commissioning, maintenance and<br />
troubleshooting for the electrical and mechanical<br />
components of the small robot series (KR 5 sixx, KR 5<br />
scara, KR 10 scara).<br />
Topics covered:<br />
• Use of the safety facilities for <strong>KUKA</strong> industrial robots<br />
• Overview and function of the mechanical components<br />
• Overview and function of the electrical components<br />
(controller PC, power unit, interfaces)<br />
• Start-up of the robot system (installation, connecting<br />
cables, system adjustments, mastering)<br />
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance (maintenance<br />
tables, cleaning, toothed belts adjustments, backup<br />
batteries, controller PC batteries and filter mat<br />
exchange)<br />
• Repair (controller PC, fans, riser cage, hard drive,<br />
memory modules, PC cards and ESC-board exchange)<br />
• Fault diagnosis and treatment<br />
Final assessment:<br />
• The course ends with an achievement test.<br />
• A certificate is issued on successful completion of the<br />
course.<br />

• Safety shoes (steel toes)<br />

• Electrical background<br />
• Basic Robot <strong>Program</strong>ming seminar<br />
• Familiarity with PCs and Windows<br />
is helpful<br />
