GAUSS User Guide<br />

Split Vertically Splits <strong>the</strong> active window into two vertical panes. This allows you to view<br />

two different areas of <strong>the</strong> same document to facilitate split-window editing.<br />

Note: You can move <strong>the</strong> splitter bar by dragging it with <strong>the</strong> mouse. You can<br />

remove <strong>the</strong> splitter bar from <strong>the</strong> window by dragging it to <strong>the</strong> end of <strong>the</strong><br />

window.<br />

Open Window GAUSS maintains a list of all <strong>the</strong> windows you have opened at <strong>the</strong> end of<br />

List <strong>the</strong> Window menu. If <strong>the</strong> window you want to view is on this list, click it and<br />

it becomes <strong>the</strong> active window.<br />

4.1.9 Help Menu<br />

The Help menu lets you access information in <strong>the</strong> GAUSS Help system. The GAUSS Help menu<br />

contains <strong>the</strong> following Commands:<br />

User’s Guide Accesses <strong>the</strong> online GAUSS User’s Guide.<br />

Keyboard Accesses <strong>the</strong> list of keystrokes you can use for cursor movement, editing,<br />

and text selection.<br />

Reference Accesses <strong>the</strong> online GAUSS Language Reference, which contains <strong>the</strong> syntax<br />

for each GAUSS command.<br />

Tip of <strong>the</strong> Day Displays a tip to help you make better use of <strong>the</strong> features available in <strong>the</strong><br />

GAUSS <strong>Windows</strong> <strong>Interface</strong>.<br />

About GAUSS... Provides information about your version of GAUSS, your license type and<br />

ID, as well as copyright information.<br />

4.1.10 GAUSS Toolbars<br />

The toolbar buttons let you have fast access to <strong>the</strong> most commonly used commands. Place <strong>the</strong><br />

mouse pointer over <strong>the</strong> button to display a description of <strong>the</strong> command.<br />
