February 65; cancelled on 23 February 65 on sale to Liechtenstein; the “owner” may<br />
have been “Anstalt Wigmo”, a CIA front registered in Liechtenstein on 21 Sept. 64 to<br />
manage Agency oper<strong>at</strong>ions in the Congo (Hagedorn / Hellström, Foreign invaders,<br />
p.150); they had several C-<strong>46s</strong> including former SE-CFA (c/n 30483, then 9Q-CWN),<br />
SE-CFD (c/n 26713, then 9Q-CRP), and SE-CFG (c/n 26710, as scrap); N9279L was<br />
seen <strong>at</strong> Dakar in March 65; probably reregd. as 9Q-C?? in 65; Wigmo continued to<br />
oper<strong>at</strong>e with cargo aircraft until l<strong>at</strong>e 1969, when the Congolese oper<strong>at</strong>ion was<br />
renamed SODEMAC (Hagedorn/Hellström, p.154); our C-46 was sold to the Fuerza<br />
Aérea Mexicana as TEC-6051 in 1990; current in Sept. 93; noted in Dec. 93 in the<br />
scrap area <strong>at</strong> Santa Lucia airfield.
