Observer 4 Eccentric Nearspapers.<br />

will be honored aa one of<br />

the recipients of the annual<br />

Mkhlgan'a Outstanding Volunteers<br />

award.<br />

Aginian, s Birmingham reaidant,<br />

Community House in Birmingham.<br />

He will be recognised at a<br />

luncheon Monday at the Hit*<br />

Carlton in Dearborn by tbe National<br />

Society of Fund Raiaing<br />

Executives. •<br />

Aginian said he believea that<br />

everyone should give something<br />

back to their community<br />

through volunteer efforts.<br />

"In tragedies, people always<br />

pitch in but we've got to make it<br />

a part of everyday life," Aginian<br />

said.<br />

He applauded such programs<br />

aa the community service program<br />

at the public schools thst<br />

encourages young people to become<br />

active participants in efforts<br />

that improve their towns.<br />

"People have got to make the<br />

time to volunteer. You make<br />

time for other things and thia<br />

shouldn't be any different. Peo<br />

pis have got to make the time to<br />

devote to their communities and<br />

give beck instead of take," Aginian<br />

aaid.<br />

Aginian heeded the expanaion<br />

of Tbe Community House,<br />

working with architects and<br />

holding weekly planning meetings,<br />

aa well aa overseeing the<br />

fund-raising efforts that made<br />

the new wing poeaible.<br />
