Resistance to this pattern of
destruction is in its infancy
but is steadily growing. For
example, small initiatives
have been launched by
individuals or groups with
concerns being raised in the
media.
At a time when Kenya has
been an independent nation
for 50 years, I think the
time is ripe to develop tools
to protect what inspires
us and thus to make use of
what already exists, create
a design continuum and
provide the possibility for
the past with to tell us its
story.
