Hearts Desire Antique Mall is a locally owned business located on the northwest side of Elkhart.<br />
Hearts Desire opened for business in 2003 and they have never looked back.<br />
According to Laurie Stewart, who owns and operates the business with her parents - Philip & Gayle<br />
Whitmer - the business has changed substantially over the last 10 years due, in part, to all of the<br />
new reality TV shows. Shows like “Antique Road Show” “Flea Market Finds” and “Storage Wars,”<br />
not to mention all of the do-it-yourself shows, have really generated a lot more interest in the things<br />
people have lying around. People love to create things, and now they can apply their talents to the<br />
treasures they find in places like ours by repurposing furniture or other treasures. That is why we<br />
like to say: Visit the Rest Then Shop the Best, where you will find YOUR HEARTS DESIRE. Our<br />
goal is to provide every customer with a trip down memory lane, and to make them feel like a valued<br />
customer. Customer service is very important to us. Getting to know our customers, and making<br />
them feel a part of our business is our goal.<br />
Hearts Desire Antique Mall is a <strong>30</strong>,000 sq. ft. facility that was created for everyone’s enjoyment.<br />
This business has everything from Quality Antiques and collectibles – to specialty gifts. Hearts<br />
Desire also maintains and operates a full-service postal sub-station - Open the same hours as the<br />
mall – “Even on Saturdays and Sundays.” As if that were not enough, you can also enjoy a bite to<br />
eat at the small café located in the center of the mall. The Tackleberry Café was recently opened for<br />
breakfast and lunch, and has now extended its hours to include Sundays for the after-church visitors.<br />
Hearts Desire houses over 65 quality dealers, a bridal and casual clothing consignment area in the<br />
back, by the postal sub-station, and also offers consignment to the public for larger furniture items.<br />
