A large, stylish pub located next to London Road
station, The Open House hosts a gallery curated
by the Fiveways Artists Group, exhibiting works by
many of the group’s artists including
Stuart J Bullen, Mark Findlay, Rex Mathews,
Colin Ruffell, Philippa Stanton, John Whiting,
Eva Wibberley, David Williams and
Teresa Winchester.
In addition to the Fiveways Gallery, there are two
other bar areas, an upstairs performance space and
one of the largest and most attractive pub gardens
in the city. The delicious food, served daily from
midday to 9pm, ranges from light bites to lunches
to evening meals. The pub is relaxed and childfriendly
by day, and by night is lively and bustling,
with occasional DJs, live music, theatre and
improvised comedy.
Located in the heart of the Fiveways Art trail and
only a 3 minute rail journey to the city centre, the
Open House is both a great place to view original
art and the perfect place to take a break from the
festival trail. The friendly and welcoming Open
House staff, very much look forward to hosting all
lovers of Fiveways art at this year’s May festival.
