Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions
the registration holder does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all
conditions because the action and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as
abnormal climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water; compatibility
with other substances not indicated on the label as well as by the method, time and
accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept
responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or
animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the
user to follow the label instructions or to the occurrence of conditions, which could
not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier or
registration holder in the event of any uncertainty.
PRECAUTIONS:
In case of contact, immediately wash concentrate from skin or eyes.
Avoid contact with eyes by wearing appropriate face shield when handling concentrate.
Wear rubber gloves when handling concentrate.
Avoid inhaling spray mist or fumes.
Wash contaminated clothing daily.
Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst applying or preparing the spray mix, or before washing
face and hands.
Prevent drift of spray mist onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and areas not under
treatment.
Clean applicator after use and dispose of water where it will not contaminate rivers,
dams, grazing and crops.
Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils.
Invert the empty container over the spray or mixing tank and allow draining for at least
30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter, rinse the container three
times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add
the rinsing to the contents of the spray tank and dispose of the empty container in the
prescribed manner after perforating and flattening it. Never use the container for any
other purpose,
Suitable protective clothing must be worn by the applicator when applications are done in
enclosed areas [tunnels] or in windy situations.

Experience has shown that PREV-AM® is compatible with most crop protection
products and foliar fertilizers.
Do not mix PREV-AM® with other products unless prior tests, including small scale
phytotoxicity tests, have shown the combination to be physically compatible, effective
and non-injurious to the target crop under local conditions.
A phytotoxicity test must also be done if visible residues of previously applied crop
protection chemicals or foliar fertilizers are present on fruit as these may be loosened by
the PREV-AM® application and washed down to collect in a droplet thus increasing the
risk of phytotoxic blemishes on the fruit.
If in doubt, consult the technical representative of the Distributor.
Ensure that the spray tank and hoses are properly cleaned inside before using it for
PREV-AM®, since PREV-AM®, because of its surfactant properties, may loosen
residues and adsorbed materials of old products, resulting in plants inadvertently being
sprayed with it.
In the event of any of these prescriptions not having been followed, the Manufacturer and
its Distributors accept no responsibility for any possible damage or harmful consequences
that may ensue.
GROUND APPLICATION:
Only suitable application equipment must be used.
NB. For the application of sprays in tunnel growing or open field crops, the even
distribution of the droplets are of the utmost importance. Care must be taken to ensure
that both surfaces of the leaves are thoroughly wet, up to just before the point of run-off.
Do not spray until dripping wet as this might cause the collection of too much product in
places. PREV-AM® only acts as a contact insecticide/fungicide. It is therefore essential
that the spray solution make direct contact with the insect in any stage of its development
cycle, or with the disease organism, during application.
Applications by suitable tractor mounted sprayers must ensure that a thorough wetting of
both the top and bottom surfaces of the leaves is achieved. The use of conventional
tractor boom-sprayers usually does not achieve adequate wetting of the bottoms of the
leaves. The use of a mist blower type or tractor sprayer, where an oscillating mechanism
will be an added advantage, or any other sprayer with which the spray mist could be
blown into the crop or leaves, is recommended.

REMARKS:

The control of early or late blight which may occur at the
same time as white fly, will be enhanced by the addition to
a PREV-AM® spray solution, of an appropriate

Start spray application against mealy bug as soon as
crawlers are observed.
Ants must be controlled separately before mealy bug
control is done.
Spray volume: 350 /ha to 500 /ha, depending on vine
size. Carefully follow the prescriptions of the
“COMPATIBILITY” paragraphs.
PREV-AM® is immenently suitable as an alternative
product in an anti-resistance program. A program for the
control of Powdery Mildew should commence before
shoots are longer than 10 cm. Use PREV-AM® at 10-14
day intervals as part of a Powdery Mildew control program
in which products are alternated.
Preferably use a disease forecasting model as well disease
history of the target vineyard as guideline to assess risk of
disease. If this information indicates low disease pressure
and low risk, use the 0,25% dosage rate. When higher
disease pressure and higher risk is indicated, use the 0,5%
doage rate.
Should conditions be favourable for the infection of
clusters with green berries, PREV-AM® should be
alternated with a suitable systemic fungicide to protect the
clusters. Spray volume: 750 /ha to 1000 /ha, depending
on vine size. Carefully follow the prescriptions of the
“COMPATIBILITY” paragraphs.
PREV-AM® is immenently suitable as an alternative
product in an anti-resistance program. The control program
for Downy Mildew should commence when shoots have
reached a length of 10 cm. Use PREV-AM® at 10 – 14
days intervals, but the intervals may be shortened to 7 days
under severe disease pressure. Ensure thorough wetting of
underside of leaves. Should conditions be favourable for
the infection of clusters, PREV-AM® should be alternated
with a suitable systemic fungicide to protect clusters. Spray
volume: 750 /ha to 1000 /ha, depending on vine size.
Carefully follow the prescriptions of the

Apply between 80 – 100 % petal drop as a preventative
application. Repeat the application when Thrips are present
again, but not later than 6 weeks after the first application.
Care must be taken to ensure good coverage of the leaves
[top and bottom] as well as the blossom and immature
fruits.
Since the use of PREV-AM® is not restricted by a preharvest
interval or minimum residue level, the product can
be used as a late corrective application on fruit up to
harvest. Carefully follow the prescriptions of the
“COMPATIBILITY” paragraphs.
The Red Scale control program should commence at 80%
– 100% petal drop. Should a PREV-AM® control program
be followed, at least 3 applications at 4-6 week intervals
should be applied. Instigate a monitoring program to
ascertain if further applications are necessary.
Use the lower rate as a maintenance application for Red
Scale situations that are under complete control. Use the
higher rate for situations that are not completely under
control. Carefully follow the prescriptions of the
“COMPATIBILITY” paragraphs.
Regular PREV-AM® applications as recommended for
Red Scale will suppress Blackspot.
Apply when the first signs of a Red Mite infestation is
observed. A repeat application 5 to 7 days after the first is
recommended. Carefully follow the prescriptions of the
“COMPATIBILITY” paragraphs.
MODE OF ACTION:
PREV-AM® is a contact Insecticide/Fungicide with no residual activity and as such
should be used as a direct contact application at first sight of insects or disease.
ORO AGRI WARRANTS THAT THE PRODUCT CONFORMS TO SPECIFICATIONS ON THE LABEL AND IS
REASONABLY FIT FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE REFERRED TO ON THE LABEL. ORO AGRI MAKES NO OTHER
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY. ORO AGRI RECOMMENDS THAT THE USER TESTS THIS PRODUCT ON A PORTION OF THE
CROP TO DETERMINE SUITABILITY FOR THE INTENDED USE.

VOORSORGMAATREëLS
Was konsentraat onmiddellik af van vel en uit oë in geval van aanraking.
Voorkom kontak met oë deur ‟n geskikte gesigskerm te dra wanneer konsentraat hanteer
word.
Gebruik rubberhandskoene wanneer die konsentraat hanteer word.
Voorkom inaseming van spuitmis en dampe.
Was besoedelde klere daagliks.
Moet nie eet, drink of rook tydens toediening of vermenging nie, of voordat gesig en
hande gewas is nie.
Voorkom wegdrywing van spuitnewel na ander gewasse, weiding, riviere, damme en
gebiede nie onder behandeling nie..
Maak toediener skoon na gebruik en raak ontslae van die spoelwater in so 'n wyse dat dit
nie riviere, damme, weidings of gewasse besoedel nie.
Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, drinkwater en eetgerei.
Keer die leë houer om oor die spuittenk of mengbak en dreineer vir minstens 30 sekondes
nadat die vloei tot ‟n gedrup verminder het. Spoel die houer daarna drie keer uit met ‟n
volume water gelykstaande aan ‟n minimum van 10 % van die houer. Gooi die
spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk en vernietig die leë houer op die
voorgeskrewe wyse nadat gate daarin gemaak en dit platgedruk is. Moet nooit die houer
vir enige ander doel gebruik nie.
Geskikte beskermende klere moet deur die spuitoperateur gedra word wanneer in geslote
gebiede [ tonnels ] of in winderige toestande gespuit word

Ondervinding het aangetoon dat PREV-AM® mengbaar is met meeste oesbeskermings
produkte en blaarvoedings.
Moet nie PREV-AM® met ander produkte meng tensy vooraf toetse, insluitende
kleinskaal fitotoksisteitstoetse, aangetoon het dat die kombinasie fisies en biologies
mengbaar, effektief en onder plaaslike toestande onskadelik teenoor die teikengewasse is
nie.
ʼn Fitotoksisiteitstoets moet ook gedoen word as sigbare residue van
oesbeskermingsprodukte of blaarvoedings wat voorheen toegedien is, teenwoordig is,
aangesien PREV-AM® die residue mag afwas en druppelvorming van die afgewaste
residue die risiko van fitiotoksiese merke op vrugte verhoog.
Raadpleeg die tegniese verteenwoordiger van die Verspreider indien enige twyfel
bestaan.
Die spuittenk en pype moet binne behoorlik skoon wees voordat dit vir PREV-AM®
gebruik word, omdat PREV-AM® se benattingsvermoë kan veroorsaak dat ou produkte
se residu‟s en oorblyfsels loskom, in die spuitmengsel beland en onopsetlik op plante
gespuit word.
Indien enige van bogenoemde voorskrifte nie gevolg word nie, aanvaar die Vervaardiger
en sy Verspreiders geen verantwoordelikheid vir enige moontlike skade of nadelige
gevolge wat mag ontstaan nie.
GRONDBESPUITING:
Alleenlik geskikte toedieningsapparaat soos hieronder beskryf word, moet gebruik word.
LW:Vir die toediening van spuitmengsel in tonnelgewasse en oop-land verbouing, is die
egalige bedekking met die oplossing van die blare van die allergrootste belang. Sorg moet
gedra word dat beide oppervlakke van die blaar [ bo en onder ] deeglik benat word tot
voor die punt van afloop. Moet nie tot afloop natspuit nie aangesien die produk op sekere
dele van die plant kan konsentreer. PREV-AM® werk slegs as ʼn kontak insek- en
swamdoder. Daarom is dit noodsaaklik dat direkte kontak van die spuitmengsel met die
insek of siekte-organisme bewerkstellig moet word.
Toediening met ‟n geskikte trekkerspuit moet verseker dat beide die bo- en onderkant
kante van die blare deeglik benat word. Die gebruik van konvensionele trekkerbalk
spuittoerusting sal gewoonlik nie die gewenste bedekking van die spuitmengsel op beide
kante van die blare verseker nie. Die gebruik van ‟n newelblaser trekkerspuit, waar ‟n
ossilerende meganisme ‟n bykomende voordeel sal wees, of enige ander spuittoerusting
wat die spuitmengsel in die gewas se blare kan inblaas, kan gebruik word.

PREV-AM® is uiters geskik as alternatiewe produk in „n
teenweerstandsprogam. „n Witroes beheerprogram
behoort „n aanvang te neem voordat die lote 10 cm lengte
bereik het. Gebruik PREV-AM® met 10-14 dae
intervalle as deel van „n beheerprgram waarin middels
afgewissel word. Gebruik verkieslik ʼn
siektevoorspellings-model sowel as die siektegeskiedenis
van die wingerd as ʼn riglyn van die siekterisiko. Indien
hierdie inligting ʼn lae siektedruk sowel as lae risiko
aandui, gebruik die 0,25% dosis. Wanneer ʼn hoër
siektedruk en hoer risiko voorkom, gebruik die 0,5%
dosis. Indien toestande gunstig vir infeksie van trosse
met groen korrels voorkom, moet PREV-AM® met ʼn
geskikte sistemiese swamdoder afgewissel word om die
trosse te beskerm.

voorkomende behandeling. Herhaal die bespuiting
wanneer blaaspootjie teenwoordigheid weer opgemerk
word, marar nie later as 6 weke na die eerste bespuiting
nie. Aangesien PREV-AM® gebruik nie deur voor-oes
onthoudinigsperiode of minimum residu vlakke beperk
word nie, is PREV-AM® geskik vir gebruik as laat
korrektiewe bespuiting op vrugte tot met oestyd. Let

ʼn Rooidopluis beheerprogram behoort teen 80%-100%
blomblaarval ʼn aanvang te neem. Indien ʼn PREV-AM®
beheerprogram gevolg word, behoort ten minste 3
bespuitings met 4-6 weke intervalle toegedien te word.
Gebruik ʼn moniteringsprogram om vas te stel of verdere
bespuitings benodig word. Gebruik die lae dosis as
onderhoudspuit vir Rooidopluis situasies wat volledig
onder beheer is. Gebruik die hoër dosis vir sitiasies wat

Gereelde PREV-AM® bespuitings soos vir die
Rooidopluis program voorgeskryf sal die onderdrukking
van Swartvlek tot gevolg hê.
Dien toe wanneer die eerste tekens van ʼn myt infestasie
opgemerk word. ʼn Opvolgbespuiting 5 tot 7 dae na die
