Confused by it all? Newbie, Beginner, Intermediate, or Expert,
BB&C has something for everyone.
CONTINUING SIGS
Ladies Luncheon SIG
Ladies this one is just for you! A bunch of us meet
for brunch every 1st Sunday of the Month to get together
for a chat and some laughter. This luncheon is informal
and relaxed, and believe it or not, computers are not the
main topic of discussion. We talk about everything and
anything (including computers of course). Come and Join
Us.

Server SIG
At BB&C we use a lot of Perl scripts to manage
our dial-in system, news server, etc., and that was part of
the purpose of running the Perl course: we want to attract
volunteers who can help maintain the systems.
So if you live in the Victoria area, join our Systems
team and receive on-the-job training as a sysadmin. Or
just come to our Server SIG meetings on the first and
third Thursdays of each month, at 7:30 pm at the Clubhouse.
(Non-members welcome, but BB&C membership
required to join the Systems team.) Topics vary but usually
concentrate on whatever's the current important issue
for the club's servers.

DeskTop Publishing (DTP) SIG
The DeskTop Publishing SIG is primarily a working
SIG for the newsletter team where we discuss methods
to improve the quality of the club newsletter. Occasionally,
we present topics aimed at the graduates of our
Adobe Training classes as well as general DTP topics.
Any member with an interest in DTP is invited to all sessions.
What is a SIG?

Beginners Windows courses will be run again this fall.
As well, we’ve added a couple of new courses in Visual
Basic and Internet Level 1. The exact dates for the courses
will be announced pending scheduling with new teachers,
level of interest from members and clubhouse availability,
so please just call or email the contact person listed
for the course for more information.

For those of you who don’t know, “SIG” is short for Special Interest Group. Really SIGS are topical groups facilitated by
a member(s) who have a common interest in some computer subject or project. A SIG is usually runs once or twice per
month. Currently we have SIGS on DeskTop Publishing, Server, Newbies, LADIES only, and the new Special Topic
SIG. All are invited to get better “connected” with your fellow-members and enjoy the benefits of club membership. For more
