Who liues to learne, and learnes to liue<br />

and list to come to thrift,<br />

May seeLthe skill, and finde the way<br />

by my new founded shrift.<br />

5 Author. If your shrift haue such vertue as to<br />

teach men thrift, I pray you Syr Symon take mee<br />

vnder benedicitie, who neuer as yet could finde<br />

the way to thriue, I think it be for want <strong>of</strong><br />

absolution ab omne frugalitate.<br />

Syr Symon. I neither vse auricular confession v<br />

nor any kinde <strong>of</strong> absolution, but certen infallyble<br />

preceptes to be obserued, by practise where<strong>of</strong>,<br />

thrift is obtayned.<br />

Author. And yet (syr Syraon) if the common<br />
