RolloTron belt winders 

The ultimate in convenience 

The RADEMACHER RolloTron is the original automatic belt winder. It was developed in-house in the 1980's by RADEMACHER and can be 

found today fitted in millions of households. The "RolloTron" name is based on the proven combination of drive and controller for roller 

shutters: ideal both for new build and refurbishment projects - either flush-mounted or surface-mounted. 

Automatic roller shutters that open and close independently every day without the daily pulling and jerking of the roller shutter belt - a 

dream harboured by many customers. Yet with automatic belt winders, this convenience is simple and easy to retrofit. The old manual 

belt winders are simply replaced by the new practical drives. 

Over and above this desire for convenience, the issue of energy-saving is not only in vogue today for purely environmental reasons, but 

also from the point of view of saving money. Automatic belt winders, like the RADEMACHER RolloTron, can help to achieve this. It is no 

secret that automated roller shutters that close just before darkness falls can reduce the heat transfer through windows by up to 

40 percent. 

RADEMACHER also offers a range of different RolloTron styles tailored to meet every possible need. Ultra-large roller shutters, roller shutters 

with a narrow belt or a swivel winder - RADEMACHER has the right solution for every eventuality. 

To ensure it blends harmoniously into your living space, RADEMACHER also supplies the RolloTron Pro in standard ultra-white, as well as 

in aluminium and anthracite, today's fashionable colours. 

The RolloTron's wide range of timer programmes, such as day, week and weekend modes, help to open and close the roller shutter even 

more effectively. Once programmed, the automatic belt winder will carry out your switching times reliably and dependably. And as an 

added extra, the RolloTron Pro Comfort model also has an "Astro" function. This determines the time of darkness on the basis of your 

postcode and automatically closes the roller shutter when darkness falls.

The new star of the RolloTron world 

The automatic RolloTron belt winder has been continuously improved over decades and provides 

significant power reserves. This top-quality product also stands out on account of its "convenience" functions 

and technical innovations. 

The new RolloTron Pro with illuminated display can be ordered from RADEMACHER from the second quarter of 2009 onwards. 

It has further new features over and above all the functions of the popular RolloTron Pro Comfort unit.

The RolloTron Pro Star is available for belt widths of 23 mm (Item no. 9900, 9900-AL, 9900-AZ) and 15 mm (Item no. 9940). 

The "Plus" model is available with greater tractive performance (Item no. 9905).

Installation - dirt-free and noise-free 

The RADEMACHER RolloTron belt winder provides a particularly quick and convenient method for operating your roller 

shutters automatically. The automatic belt winder can be simply and easily fitted and made operational by a tradesman 

- no noise, no dirt! Many customers want to save energy but the majority shy away from complex and expensive 

renovation work. 

During installation, the high-performance drive is fitted in the belt box in place of the old belt winder. The roller shutter 

belt is then wound off the manual belt winder and wound onto the new belt winder and then replaced in the belt box. 

The RolloTron Pro has a tractive force of 45 kg, with which roller shutters with an area of up to 6m² can be simply and 

easily moved. RADEMACHER RolloTron Pro Plus models are available with a tractive force of 60 kg for larger and heavier 

shutters. This simple retrofittable drive is thereby the ideal drive solution even for large roller shutters with a surface 

area of up to 10m². The RolloTron is also available as a surface-mounted swivel winder with a tractive force of 30 kg. 

The power supply to the drive is via a conventional 230 V power connection. 

 

Loosen the screws on the old 

belt winder and remove the 

belt winder. 

Trim the belt, cut to size, insert 

into the RolloTron unit and 

place on the fixing hook of the 

winding wheel. 

Tighten the cable contacts on 

the unit, insert into the wall 

opening and screw tightly into 

place. 

Connect up the 230 V power 

supply to the unit.

DuoFern radio control system 

Home automation made easy. 

Would you like a home automation system, with which you can control other household electrical appliances 

and equipment in addition to your roller shutters, awnings and venetian blinds? This is possible with the 

bi-directional "DuoFern" radio control system, intended for the integrated automation of small and mediumsized 

units. 

Each component in the DuoFern network is both transmitter and receiver (the principle of bi-directional 

operation) and can therefore transfer the radio signals on. If direct radio control transmission is not possible, 

the signal can be received by other DuoFern units and transmitted onwards. The radio signal thus reaches the 

predetermined receiver via a "detour". This so-called routing function is performed automatically with DuoFern 

and does not have to be configured separately during installation. 

The classic amongst the DuoFern products is the RolloTron Pro DuoFern belt winder. It is described on the 

following two pages.
