a gravel at me. I looked and found that he<br />

was 'Umar bin Al-Khattab Z ii He said<br />

to me, "Fetch those two men to me." When I<br />

did, he said to them, "Who are you? (Or)<br />

where do you come from?" They replied,<br />

"We are from Ta'if." 'Umar said, "Were you<br />

from this city (Al-Madina) I would have<br />

punished you for raising your voices in the<br />

mosque of Allah's Messenger .."<br />

471. Narrated Ka'b bin Malik L<br />

During the life-time of Allah's Messenger<br />

I asked Ibn AN Iladrad in the mosque to pay<br />

the debts which he owed to me, and our<br />

voices grew so loud that Allah's Messenger<br />

heard them while he was in his house. So<br />

he came to us after raising the curtain of his<br />

room. The Prophet tt said, "0 Ka'b bin<br />

Malik!" I replied, "Labbaik, 0 Allah's<br />

Messenger." He gestured with his hand to<br />

me to reduce the debt to half. I said, "0<br />

Allah's Messenger, I have done it." Allah's<br />

Messenger said (to Ibn Hadrad), "Get up<br />

and pay it."<br />

(84) CHAPTER. The religious gatherings in<br />

circles and sitting in the mosque.
