Identify herbs/plants/tress with pharmacological /therapeutic effects 2. Discuss therapeutic effects of herbs/plans/tress as alternative treatment to promote healing. 3. Present quantified therapeutic effects of different herbs/plants/trees identified. Methods: Information data were collected through review of literature from different authors who have interest on the pharmacological effects of plants/trees as alternative treatment in the promotion of health and prevention of illness. Data collection method of its effect was done through actual utilization of processed plant/trees product. Sampling population are from the (1) community who are interested to use the natural product after receiving information through lectures with problems identified in the related literature and its positive outcome to alleviate suffering as relief from respiratory allergy, skin allergy, prevention from mosquito bites, severe sore throat, respiratory problem as bronchitis, laryngitis with no voice, lowering of blood sugar, blood pressure, removal of warts, decrease face wrinkles, prostate cancer, abdominal cancer (2) Patients or (residents) of the skilled nursing facility where the author is working; residents who have skin problems as pressure sore, psoriasis, heat rash, skin cancer, herpes zoster/simplex. Results of the pharmacological effects were collected through testimonials and actual observation from population who utilized the plants/trees product. Conclusion and Implications: Based on the quantified evidences on the use and effect of garden products, pharmacy in nature is an alternative treatment of ailment and promotion of health. Author: Luzminda Tenefrancia Llasos MSN PhD RN Dr Luz Llasos is currently the Director of Nursing at Valley Grande Manor in Weslaco Texas. She obtained her nursing diploma from Baguio General Hospital School of Nursing, BSN from Mountain View College School of Nursing , MSN from Philippine Union College Graduate Studies, Philippines and Doctor of Philosophy from Kennedy Western University , Wyoming USA. A missionary in Malamulo Hospital Malawi Africa for 6 years. She is a lifetime member of Philippine Nurses Association. She is the current chair of Community Outreach/ Global Health of Philippine Nurses Association of America; Incoming vice president of Philippine Nurses Association of Rio Grande Valley South Texas 2013-2015). Received the 2009 Modern Nightingale Award from PNA Texas Cameron County because of her commitment to her profession and service to the community. Highlight contribution to PNAA was being the author of the lyrics of PNAA theme song “Shine PNAA Shine’.
