Picturesque squares and many beautiful buildings define this city with its laid-back Mediterranean atmosphere. Sun. 15 May Novi Sad/Serbia. Arr.: 03.00 Dep.: 08.30 Tour of the old town with a visit to the Petrovaradin Fortress.* Overland journey to Belgrade. Novi Sad has an austere defensive medieval fortress, as well as a lovingly restored Baroque old town. Belgrade/Serbia. Arr.: 13.30 City tour.* Exclusive reception and concert in Belgrade’s White Palace to celebrate the tenth birthday of the RIVER CLOUD II.** This evening, the White Palace will open its doors exclusively for guests of the RIVER CLOUD II. In this neoclassical building with its great hall and numerous reception rooms, great Venetian chandeliers and works of art, you will gain an interesting insight into the Karadjordjevic dynasty. Dep.: 03.00 The transverse valley carved by the Danube, more than 100 kilometres (60 miles) long, is an impressive landscape that will really take your breath away.
