Tour of the old town with a visit to the Petrovaradin
Fortress.* Overland journey to Belgrade.
Novi Sad has an austere defensive medieval fortress, as
well as a lovingly restored Baroque old town.

Exclusive reception and concert in Belgrade’s
White Palace to celebrate the tenth birthday of the
RIVER CLOUD II.**
This evening, the White Palace will open its doors exclusively
for guests of the RIVER CLOUD II. In this neoclassical
building with its great hall and numerous reception
rooms, great Venetian chandeliers and works of art, you
will gain an interesting insight into the Karadjordjevic
dynasty. After a private reception, enjoy an exclusive
concert in the Black and White Hall.

The transverse valley carved by the Danube, more than 100
kilometres (60 miles) long, is an impressive landscape that
will really take your breath away. The Kazan Gorge leads
to the Iron Gate, also known as Djerdap, which is at the
narrowest point of the gorge.

Tour of Vidin and Belogradchik.* The Baba Vida fortress
looms over the town of Vidin on the Danube, whilst
Belogradchik appears to be part of the wildly romantic

Excursion to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi with lunch.*
Veliko Tarnovo was once the magnificent capital of the
Bulgarian tsarist empire and enjoys a picturesque location
on three hills. Arbanassi is one of the prettiest villages in

of the Black Sea coast was given the lovely nickname
