Dressmaking follows suit in<br />
second place: 19 percent (76 women out<br />
<strong>of</strong> 389) finished their spons<strong>or</strong>ed tail<strong>or</strong>ing<br />
course. Since 1998 there have been<br />
trainees in Hairdressing, Dressmaking<br />
and Catering. Until 2005, 90 percent <strong>of</strong><br />
SOLWODI’s trainees were spons<strong>or</strong>ed in<br />
those three courses. Since 2006<br />
SOLWODI expanded courses and<br />
additionally, <strong>of</strong>fers Early Childhood/<br />
Nursery Teaching, Front Office/ Hotel<br />
Management, Technical <strong>Training</strong>,<br />
Business Management, Social W<strong>or</strong>k,<br />
Primary Teaching.<br />

Only a few women completed VT in Catering (fourteen trainees), Front Office/ Hotel<br />
Management (twelve trainees) and Early Childhood/ Nursery Teaching (eleven trainees).<br />
Technical certificates, such as Car Mechanic, Driver and Electrician, are held by ten young<br />
women. Merely two trainees each are currently enrolled in Business Management and Social<br />
W<strong>or</strong>k course. Primary Teaching VT and Chemicals/ Cleaning were uncommon with only one<br />
trainee in 2006 in the f<strong>or</strong>mer and one trainee in 2000 in the latter course. Regrettably, there is an<br />
inf<strong>or</strong>mation gap f<strong>or</strong> 6 percent <strong>of</strong> SOLWODI’s trainees, f<strong>or</strong> whom available data was limited, in<br />
particular about their type <strong>of</strong> VT.<br />

There is data on education level f<strong>or</strong> only 39 percent (153 women) <strong>of</strong> all trainees.<br />
