The RH 760, a new generation of machines from <strong>the</strong> company <strong>HESS</strong>, opens up a<br />

new dimension <strong>for</strong> block <strong>product</strong>ion.<br />

The overall dimensions of <strong>the</strong> machine follow those of <strong>the</strong> competition to that<br />

<strong>the</strong> RH 760 can easily be erected on existing foundations. Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore <strong>the</strong> machine<br />

is designed <strong>for</strong> a st<strong>and</strong>ard plate size of 660 x 470 mm <strong>and</strong> thanks to a special<br />

adapting device all available moulds in stock can be reutilized.<br />

Our patented VarioTronic system consists of a simple mechanical structure <strong>and</strong> a fully electronic control<br />

which is reliable <strong>and</strong> extremely accurate. Frequency <strong>and</strong> amplitude can be adjusted individually <strong>and</strong><br />

produce maximum results during mould fi lling <strong>and</strong> main compaction.<br />

Using asynchronous servo motors, vibration angles adjust very fast. This causes a short vibration time<br />

<strong>and</strong> a high <strong>product</strong> quality is maintained.<br />

The <strong>HESS</strong> oil-bath vibration features vibrating shafts which are individually mounted in closed housings<br />

which are fi lled with oil. The system provides<br />

signifi cant advantages:<br />

permanent lubrication of bearings<br />

dry running in <strong>the</strong> housing excluded<br />

increased lifetime<br />

Filler box planing roller<br />

The <strong>HESS</strong> Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG has developed a new, adaptable system <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> face <strong>concrete</strong><br />

fi ller box - <strong>the</strong> planing roller. It is a stell roller replacing <strong>the</strong> front stripper frame of <strong>the</strong> fi ller box. The roller<br />

ist driven by a frequency controlled motor over a chain <strong>and</strong> independently from <strong>the</strong> fi ller box movements.<br />

There are several advantages of paving stones <strong>product</strong>ion with planing roller:<br />

The roller prevents that <strong>concrete</strong> „dug“ out of <strong>the</strong> mould when <strong>the</strong> fi ller box returns to home position. This effect<br />

becomes especially apparent when more wet <strong>concrete</strong> is used or large-sized pavers are manufactured. There<strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> planing roller enables <strong>the</strong> <strong>product</strong>ion with particulary wet <strong>concrete</strong> mixes which achieves on <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r h<strong>and</strong><br />

improved colour intensity, a more compacted surface <strong>and</strong> following better compound between a course <strong>and</strong> face<br />

<strong>concrete</strong>. As <strong>the</strong> <strong>product</strong> surface absorbs less water, a possible spalling of <strong>the</strong> face <strong>concrete</strong> layer during frost is<br />

also obviated. Moulds <strong>for</strong> large-sized paving stones can be charged evenly without repeated <strong>for</strong>th <strong>and</strong> back movements<br />

of <strong>the</strong> fi ller box. This means more effi cient cycle times <strong>and</strong> high-quaity end <strong>product</strong>s.<br />

The Filler box planing roller is available <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> RH 2000-3 <strong>and</strong> RH 1500-3.<br />

Separate drives <strong>for</strong> perfect mixing results in <strong>the</strong> nick of time<br />

Mixers of <strong>the</strong> SM series provide <strong>the</strong> perfect solution <strong>for</strong> making<br />

<strong>concrete</strong> types used in <strong>the</strong> <strong>product</strong>ion of paving blocks<br />

<strong>and</strong> kerbstones, hollow blocks <strong>and</strong> plates, <strong>and</strong> pipes <strong>and</strong><br />

manholes as well as precast <strong>concrete</strong> elements <strong>and</strong> readymixed<br />

<strong>concrete</strong>. Thanks to <strong>the</strong>ir high mixing intensity, planetary<br />

mixers are particularly suitable <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>product</strong>ion<br />

According to ISO 18650 defi nitions, mixing results with a variation<br />

actually achieves a coeffi cient of less than 1%! And at very short<br />

Schlosser-Pfeiffer RADIALPRESS VARIANT<br />

The High Speed Machine <strong>for</strong> High End Per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

The SP RADIALPRESS is a high-speed, high-per<strong>for</strong>mance machine <strong>for</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> manufacturing of <strong>concrete</strong> pipes in <strong>the</strong> diameter range i.d. 250 mm<br />

up to i.d. 2000 mm <strong>and</strong> lengths of up to 3.5 m. It is ideal <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>product</strong>ion<br />

of rein<strong>for</strong>ced <strong>and</strong> non-rein<strong>for</strong>ced bell end pipes, jacking pipes<br />

<strong>and</strong> rocker pipes, pipes with two spigot ends, as well as manhole pipes,<br />

manhole rings <strong>and</strong> manhole bases.<br />

The <strong>concrete</strong> is compacted during <strong>the</strong> course of <strong>the</strong> radial pressing<br />

process. The pressing action is effected by <strong>the</strong> rotating pressing tool<br />

consisting of <strong>the</strong> distributor head, which rotates in <strong>the</strong> opposite direction<br />

of <strong>the</strong> pressing head. As a result, <strong>the</strong> torques of distributor head<br />

<strong>and</strong> pressing head largely cancel each o<strong>the</strong>r out, hence ensuring a precise<br />

<strong>and</strong> tension-free embedding of <strong>the</strong> rein<strong>for</strong>cement. The machine is<br />

controlled by a Siemens S7 electronic PLC.<br />

The pipe <strong>product</strong>ion is fully automatic.<br />
